The Dennelisse LHCSA and Lower West Side Household Services Corp (LWS Homecare) celebrated with the NYC community at their 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Open House on May 5th, 2017. Attendees joined the festive atmosphere and brightly decorated space when they arrived at the organizations’ Bronx offices. Food and music entertained guests throughout the day. Both companies had a chance to introduce their array of home health care and case management services and programs to clients, partners and to other members of the NYC community. The organizations provided educational health information for the guests at each department station.

“We are a passionate group when it comes to helping others and educating them about the opportunities that are available” said Jorge Ines, a long time Dennelisse employee who loves his ability to connect with people through his job in outreach.

There were special treats for everyone, including children, who received toys in goody bags and pulled apart the piñata for a few sweets. There was even a dance off as guests moved to the rhythm provided by the live Flamenco music played by guitarist Annalisa Ewald. The tunes bounced around the room and added a lively backdrop to the fun and conversation circulating the room.

Those conversations, at the heart of the event, were the most important. “We want to let all of our neighbors in the Bronx community and throughout the city know that we are here to help them toward healthier and happier lives” said Donovan Malloy from Business Development at Dennelisse. “Our door is always open to those in need. Everyone has a friend or a family member that comes to mind when you talk about difficulties managing a health condition, symptoms of aging or a disability. We are here for those people and want to be known as a resource for those in need” added Malloy.

Dennelisse and LWS send out a BIG thank you to the clients, partners, neighbors and guests who made this event a success. Your participation and your interest made the event fun and brought everyone smiles and laughs. Events like these renew the organizations’ devotion to their mission to provide high quality, medically necessary home care and health related services and to promote the wellness and independence of individuals within the comforts of their natural environment and the community.
