Lower West Side Household Services, is a licensed New York State private not-for-profit home healthcare company, established in 1969. It has since been dedicated to provide community-based services for the elderly throughout New York City. Services are designed to help people remain in their communities instead of being placed in facilities. The organization’s history stems from facilitating seniors when they choose to remain at home, while providing families the security that their loved ones are safe and comfortable. All the while, the company addresses families’ healthcare concerns, and educational and financial needs.

Lower West Side Household Services, LWS, has always been a vibrant and dynamic champion for the residents of the five boroughs of New York; in recognizing the global economy and the impact on neighboring communities, we have expanded our geographical service areas. These are include the five boroughs, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess and Orange Counties.
The diversity of New York is reflected in our clients as well as our team of paraprofessionals and professionals. Our comprehensive array of services may be offered in English, Spanish, Tagalog, French, Creole, Russian, Hebrew, Mandarin and Cantonese. Since our inception, LWS has provided highly trained and experienced staff to meet the healthcare challenges of the New York Community. All personnel are held to the highest credentialing requirements and operational excellence.
Our caring personnel have expertise in areas such as autism, pervasive developmental disorder, Down syndrome, COPD, heart disease, diabetes, visual impairment, HIV and AIDS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia and other chronic illnesses.
